LeadGen Agent

Frequently asked questions

Before you send your first email.

What does LeadGen Agent do?
It helps you win clients without asking for work. It finds businesses with a website that could hire you, analyzes their site with AI, prepares a proposal from that diagnosis and sends it in the first email from your Gmail. Then it stays with you through the contract and the delivery.
Which trades is it for?
For people who work on a business's digital presence: web design and development, SEO, ads, branding or social media. The diagnosis is built on the business's website, so it pays off more the closer your trade is to that site.
Does the AI write for me?
The AI prepares the diagnosis, the proposal and the email draft. You decide who to write to, what to send and when. AI isn't taking your work. It's getting it for you.
Is it legal to email a business that doesn't know me?
It depends on your country and how you do it. Several rules (CAN-SPAM in the United States, the GDPR in Europe, CASL in Canada, Law 1581 in Colombia) ask you to identify yourself, explain why you're writing, offer a clear way to unsubscribe and honor it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, but sending is your responsibility. The anti-spam policy summarizes the framework; it is not legal advice.
Where do the emails come from?
From your own Gmail, connected through OAuth. Sending is slow on purpose: a gradual warm-up and pauses between emails protect your sender reputation. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Do I need a card to get started?
No. The Free plan doesn't ask for a card and includes one full trial cycle on system credits. When you need more volume, you switch plans.
What are AI credits?
They're the balance the system's AI draws on. Finding businesses, diagnosing a website, building a proposal and writing an email all use credits, and each action costs a different amount: a proposal costs more than a diagnosis. They renew every month, and your dashboard shows how many you have left. With a local model, none are deducted.
What happens after the first email?
You log every interaction in the deal (calls, messages, WhatsApp, meetings) and generate the documents to close it and deliver: quote, contract, schedule, requirements, deliverables and system design. The system doesn't detect replies for you: you mark how each deal is going.
Can I use my own API keys?
Yes. You can connect your own Google Places key and your AI provider's key (OpenAI, OpenRouter, Gemini or Ollama); that part stops counting against your plan. AI credits are still deducted unless you use a local model.
What happens to the data of the businesses I find?
It stays in your account while your subscription is active and for up to 30 days after you cancel; after that it is permanently deleted. In the meantime you can delete businesses from the Businesses list whenever you like. The details, with the retention period for each type of data, are in the privacy policy.
How do I cancel, and what about refunds?
You cancel from your account and keep access until the end of the billing cycle you already paid. If a paid plan isn't right for you, you get a full refund when you ask within 30 days of the payment, at paddle.net or by emailing billing. The Free plan charges nothing. Payments in US dollars are processed by Paddle; in Colombia you can also pay in pesos, by card or Nequi, and then you request the refund by emailing billing. The refund policy explains the cases and how to request one.
Which countries and languages does it work in?
The search by area offers cities in 17 countries, from Mexico and Spain to Argentina, Colombia or the United States, and you can also paste the address of any site. The website and the dashboard are available in Spanish and English.
How is it different from a CRM?
A CRM stores and organizes contacts you already have. LeadGen Agent starts earlier: it finds businesses, diagnoses their website and prepares the first email with a proposal, and then records the follow-up of the deal. It doesn't replace a full CRM and it doesn't detect replies for you: it saves you the preparation.
What if the business has no website?
The search by area only returns businesses with a website, because the diagnosis is built on their site: with no website there is nothing to diagnose. Offering a first website is a different conversation and a different kind of email.
